Southbark Kennels raises healthy and sound A.K.C. Registered Australian Shepherds. We breed for health and temperament as our first priority.

Our breeding stock have had their hips certified through either Penn-hip or Norberg Angle or the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, and they have been DNA'd so that we can be sure we are producing the healthiest, most reliable and sound puppies possible.

We are a small breeding kennel located in beautiful Southwest Florida. We are nestled on 8 secluded acres of privately owned old forest and orange grove land.

We have wet lands, grass fields, a private lake, orchard trees, and even a pond. Our Dogs enjoy plenty of fresh air, running free along serene nature trails, romping in the fields and swimming. They are happy, healthy and vibrant individuals that thrive on their life here.

We specialize in breeding Australian Shepherds of the highest quality, with sound solid nerves, high prey and retrieve drives, excellent tracking abilities, with well balanced character and stable temperaments. Our Beautiful Australian Shepherds are correct in structure, highly intelligent, and trainable. They are very beautiful in appearance, have wonderful caring and protective personalities, and are a pleasure to be-friend and own.

Our beautiful Australian Shepherd dogs and puppies are Bred from only the worlds finest and most well renown; proven producing working, obedience, conformation, and show bloodlines available today, as well as many great and legendary super stars from the past you will find these packed within every generation of a Southbark Puppy.

Our very selective breeding program is designed to preserve the working ability, integrity and noble character of the breed as well as bring together the well blended qualities we expect from our dogs and puppies.

Our Puppies are suitable for use in a variety of working fields such as Explosives Detection, Family Protection, Search and Rescue, Delta Dogs, Obedience, Agility, Herding, and Personal Companion.

Our beautiful puppies are born in our home as part of our family in a very special birthing room that has been designed for the comfort as well as safety for the mothers and new babies.

Southbark Kennels stocks and utilizes the highest quality and most versatile dogs. They excel in the show ring, on the farm, for protection, and they are loyal to a fault. We have blended herding dog bloodlines with agility, obedience, and show lines with the thought in mind of maintaining the original intelligence and performance that Shepherd dogs were meant to have.

We have also developed a couple of special lines that are reflecting an ability to produce both, therapy dogs and service dogs that go above and beyond when they are working in those jobs.
